BUILD ME A BAR

A room, a brand,
and a budget to beat.

Build a finished, furnished bar inside the same 2,000-square-foot room every time. Choose the atmosphere, finishes, bottles, glassware, furniture and equipment—and bring your brand to life.

1. Set the scene.

Choose New bar. Name the bar, choose one of eight atmospheres, select an opening challenge and pick a budget range. The empty room is 40 feet wide by 50 feet deep. Its shell starts at $12,000, already included in your expenditure total.

Budget rangeGame spending capGood starting idea
Neighborhood · $50,000–$75,000$75,000Concentrate on a welcoming, efficient room.
Signature · $75,000–$125,000$125,000More seating, stock, branding and finishes.
Brewpub · $125,000–$250,000$250,000Room and budget for the complete on-site brewery.
Showpiece · $250,000–$400,000$400,000Premium finishes and entertainment.

The upper end of your selected range is the winning cap; there is no minimum-spending goal. You may change the budget and challenge while you experiment. All four challenges are available with every atmosphere.

Start with an empty shell or choose a furnished reference bar. Reference furnishings are charged to your budget. A bar reference costs $113,965; the brewpub reference costs $232,205. A lower chosen budget can put a reference build over budget, so inspect the total.

Dollar prices and room requirements are game assumptions. This game counts the shell, finishes and purchased pieces. It does not calculate rent, taxes, licenses, staffing or engineering.

2. Inspect, purchase, place.

  1. Open Build on a phone. Choose a department or search for a piece. There are 155 purchasable component types.
  2. Tap an item to see its model, dimensions, dollar price, projected expenditure and budget remaining. Nothing is charged until you approve and place it.
  3. Choose Add to my bar. Tap inside the room to position the item. Place centrally is an alternative, especially for small phone screens.
  4. For bottles or countertop pieces, tap the top of a bar, table or shelf. The height follows that surface; fine-tune it in Edit.
  5. Choose an installed piece in Edit or tap it in the room. Adjust its X position, depth, elevation and rotation. Turn 90° with one button; edit the degree value for smaller turns.
  6. Use Buy another for another priced copy. Return & refund removes the selected item and refunds its full game price.

Undo and Redo retain up to 50 editing steps during the current session. The position origin is the center of the room: X goes from −20 to +20 ft; depth goes from −25 to +25 ft. Pieces are kept within the room bounds.

Wall-mounted pieces start at the back wall. Use rotation and position controls to mount them on either side wall. Elevation is measured from the floor to the bottom of a piece. Glassware, bottles, logos and small details are easiest to edit using the piece dropdown.

Floor collisions appear in the checklist. The game compares rectangular footprints, including rotated pieces. Keep the front-center entrance zone—about six feet wide, within the last four feet of the room—clear.

3. Choose the materials.

The Finishes department changes the visible surfaces of the whole room. Floors include oak, walnut, reclaimed timber, terrazzo, marble, slate, checker tile, polished concrete and herringbone. Walls include walnut paneling, exposed brick, whitewashed brick, natural stone, slate, marble, limewash, paint, reclaimed timber and art deco wallpaper.

Ceiling choices add visible acoustic treatment, pressed tin accents, timber beams or industrial ducts. The roof remains open in the room view so you can see the interior.

Only one floor, wall and ceiling finish package can be installed at a time. Applying a new finish automatically returns the previous finish for its full game price. The purchase popup shows both the refund and new total before approval.

Bar counters have separate wood, marble, stone, quartz, copper, concrete and reclaimed timber models. Buy the material you want in Bar & backbar; different sections can use different materials. Select furniture to try its color control; glass collections retain their clear-glass appearance.

4. Make it unmistakably yours.

Open Brand. Enter the name and tagline, choose a fuzzy donkey, cocktail glass, hops, star or crest emblem, then pick lettering and color. The preview updates, and purchased illuminated signs, neon wordmarks, table tents and coasters carry your logo.

You can upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP logo instead. Uploads are resized to fit the game; a transparent PNG works best. Use designed logo returns to the editable emblem-and-lettering design. Download the logo as PNG at any time. The designed logo export has a transparent background.

The room’s project name and its brand name are editable separately. Logo design is included; physical branded pieces have their own purchase prices.

5. Brewed on the premises.

The brewery is visible equipment inside your bar: reflective stainless vessels, fermentation cones, valves, gauges, pipes, pumps and a viewing partition. Use the Brewery camera to inspect it.

SystemRequired for the brewpub challenge
Six process tanksOne mash/lauter tun, one brew kettle, one hot liquor tank, two conical fermenters and one bright beer tank.
Processing supportGlycol chiller, transfer pump, stainless pipe manifold, keg washer, drain package and steam-exhaust hood.
Draft serviceDraft taps, keg cooler, filled beer kegs and CO₂ station.
More workshop detailsControl panel, platform, malt sacks/grain station, utility sink, empty kegs, clean-in-place cart and tools are available.

Place brewing equipment on one side of the room so the bar and guest seating retain space. The reference brewpub demonstrates a complete six-tank layout behind a glass partition. Brewing is optional for other challenges.

The game represents equipment and simplified checks; it does not simulate a real brewing process or verify technical installations.

6. Get ready for opening night.

Open Checklist to see progress. Every challenge requires two bar sections and a backbar; several bottle collections; glassware, tools and garnish; ice and cold storage; sinks and a glasswasher; POS, branded pieces and a restroom; lights, accessible service, an exit sign and an extinguisher. The front entrance must be open, and floor pieces must not overlap.

ChallengeAdditional goals
Neighborhood favoriteAt least 24 seats and 4 different bottle collections.
Signature cocktail loungeAt least 30 seats, 7 bottle collections and 1 entertainment piece.
Brewed here · craft brewpubAt least 24 seats, 4 bottle collections and all required brewery systems.
Friday-night destinationAt least 36 seats, 6 bottle collections and 2 entertainment pieces.

Choose Opening night for your result. Complete all goals within the selected dollar cap to win. Missing goals remain visible so you can return to the build. Wins are saved with the current bar and included in its backup.

Try the brewpub walkthrough.

Choose the brewpub atmosphere, brewpub challenge and $250,000 cap. Install oak and brick, three counters and three backbars; stock eight collections; add stools, six tables and their chairs. Finish the service station, glassware, lighting, POS and branded pieces. Fit the six tanks and support systems on the right, keeping the entrance clear. The supplied reference achieves 32 seats and all game goals at $232,205, leaving $17,795.

7. Keep your build.

Edits save automatically to this browser and device. Save confirms the current save. One active bar is kept at a time; download a backup before starting a different project you want to preserve. Private browsing, storage restrictions or clearing website data can remove a local save.

There is no account or automatic syncing between devices. Move builds using backups. The app needs WebGL 2 for the realistic interior; if graphics are unavailable, the component list, spending totals, brand and backup controls remain usable.

8. Watch it become a finished bar.

Auto Play Demo starts with an empty 2,000-square-foot shell. It purchases and places 112 pieces across ten phases, showing each item’s dollar price and updating the expenditure total. It finishes with the completely furnished, stocked and decorated brewpub, including all six tanks and its brewing support equipment.

Use Pause, playback speed, Next phase or Replay. The completed demo opens its final invoice; close the invoice to explore the finished room. Use Whole room, At the bar, Brewery, Seating or Guest view to explore it, and Evening lights to change the atmosphere. Your own saved bar is preserved; Exit demo restores it.

Drag to orbit the room, scroll or pinch to zoom, and right-drag or use two fingers to pan. Tap a piece to select it when building. During placement, camera movement pauses so your tap can position the purchase. On phones, Build, Edit, Brand and Checklist sit below the room. Every app page retains a visible Home link.

Your final build invoice

Finish the game to see the detailed invoice automatically. Every installed component is grouped by category with its quantity, unit price and line total, followed by category subtotals, final expenditure, budget limit and remaining money (or the amount over budget). Use Print / Save PDF to print all invoice pages or Download CSV to keep the itemized costs.

The complete Auto Play Demo ends on its final invoice. Close it to explore the finished build; use Detailed invoice to open it again. The last view in the screenshot gallery is the sample invoice, which scrolls to show every line. Your own saved project remains unchanged by the demo.
